Acoustic-electric Travel Guitar. Made by Martin. (EM.11GBPC2)
Now a travel guitar that you can plug in! Martin sets the standard in travel guitars with a fully playable, compact travel guitar economically designed to meet the needs of musicians on the run! For their size, Martin Backpacker guitars have a surprisingly rich and loud tone, due primarily to the combination of a lightly braced solid tonewood top with a solid mahogany neck, back and sides. Light as a feather, this is a guitar that you can take with you literally anywhere without getting weighed down, plus it takes up almost no room when slipped into its nylon carrying case (included) or strapped around your shoulders. Despite its lightweight character, the Martin Backpacker is ruggedly built to withstand the rigors of outdoor situations like camping, hiking and summer music festivals -- the ideal travel companion! This model features a built-in Martin Thinline 332 pickup. Includes padded nylon gig bag and strap Dimensions: The guitar is 35.5" long, 8.5" wide. The bag is 36" long, 10.5" wide PLEASE NOTE: The acoustic-electric backpacker looks very similar to the regular acoustic backpacker, there is only one difference in how it looks. The Acoustic-electric version has a metal strap button at the end of its body which is hollow, with an opening where a guitar cable can be plugged into it, this is where you plug in to play it "electric" -- the pickup is built into the body at this point and cannot be seen. The acoustic-electric backpacker does not have any form of onboard electronics or EQ and the pickup is not visible through the soundhole.
